This is the beginning of a story about catty girl drama, and the war that insued. |
If Maddie had to sum me up in one word, I know just the one she would choose:bitch. It's a certain word that would be bleeped on most shows, except those really sleezy ones that you watch when you're sick. Truthfully, I would rather it be creative, smart, or gorgeous, but hey, you take what you can get. I tend to lean towards the description "strong-willed individual" myself. Madison Hanelly and I had been best friends since we were four. She has slept over at my house almost more times than her own. We always liked the same things, from magazines to music, clothes to boys. I was into photography, and she loved to have her picture taken. I mean, come on, we were perfect. At least, it was. Perfect, I mean. After time, I was becoming more irritable and she, more irritating. I was going through a self-consious stage that coincided with Maddie's catty one. Not the best combination, let me tell you. "Just let it go, Catia," my mom said. "She's bound to end up like her sisters anyway. Everybody in this side of Johnsonville know what they're like." As true as this was, it didn't make it any better. In order for you to understand futrue events, I will explain a little bit of our history. In seventh grade, our year before, a bond was forged between four other girls and me. We called our group the Road Trip Crew, more commonly known as the RTC. My fellow members were Maddie, Veronica (Ronni), and Isabella (Bella) and Elizabeth (Lizza), our resident identical twins. The first half of eighth grade, Maddie began to show changes. In spite of that, I was never her target. Instead, she targeted Bella and Lizza. They were the most emotionally damaged, so I suppose they were easier to take out than the rest of us. This divided our cozy group. Ronni followed Maddie, while I stayed behind with the twins. Thus the splitting of the RTC and the begining of a war. |
