A Gift From God

A GIFT FROM GOD

When we look at the children of this world,
We are to see them as a gift from God.
God didn't give them to us to misuse or abuse,
but to treat them all with out unending love.

Yet, when we hear of abuse and neglect,
We wonder how people can live with that.
As I look on my past, I can still feel the hurt,
But because my God is great, I can look past it.

Our children, a precious gift from God,
They are very fragile mentally and physically.
Yet their hearts are so big and trusting,
They do not know what is bad or good.

A gift from God needs to be treated with love,
We are to train and teach them according to God's word.
We are to be an example to our children,
We are to teach them unconditional love.

At times it is very scary to raise a child,
In a world like today, we think twice about them.
But we should always remember every day,
God is always there to help His gifts through.
