Not actually a poem and possibly closer to a song-like-thing.
The Masked Ball

Lonely young girl
high heels, red dress.
Fashion, image and appearance
- everything an attempt to impress.
Lost without thought or soul.
Arrives with the usual cover
- to turn her into control.
The never-ending masked ball.
They must loose their disguise
to device their own demise.

Prostituted middle-aged man
never felt love or a kind touch.
Hiding behind a fake identity
- seems to want love too much.
Tired of being audience to his own life.
Decides to leave it all behind
- a letter of goodbye, and a butcher-knife.
The never-ending masked ball.
They must loose their disguise
to device their own demise.

Rich, wealthy old man
prominent and well-known.
Wife and three kids
- depressed, but never alone.
He seems to be living in a dream.
Superficial and unsatisfied.
- always searching to be supreme.
The never-ending masked ball.
They must loose their disguise
to device their own demise.
