This is a sad reality children face every single day of their life and no one helps them. |
"Everything is full of darkness", "Nothing can ever go right!" These are the cries I hear every single night. Children crying out not because they are spoiled, But because they are neglected, Their parents don't care. What's left in this world that we call home, Children are crying not because they are hurt or scared, But because they are lonely and no one seems to care. Their cries aren't heard, They sit there and wait every night, For their mother or father to come through that door, To tell them that they love them and tell them that they're proud. But these children don't get that, Not even a hug, All they get is a 'hunny will you get that I have much more important things to do,' Or a 'I don't have time for you,' What's wrong with these parents that say that they care, Can't they give a little love to the children that they spawned. No of course not they have too many things to do, As their kids cut themselves and cry themselves to sleep every god damned night. They do drugs and drink just to block out the pain, Why do they have to suffer and you treat yourself like a queen. You buy furs and cars for your delight, As these kids hardly have food at night, This isn't a third world country where the family suffers together, No this is America where the mother and father are better. If you could just hear their cries I'm sure you'd feel bad too, Seeing their ribs protrude. God It's an awful sight to see them pass out near the door, Waiting day in and day out for their parents to walk though that damn door. They almost never come back from this trip, The trip of selfishness and self love. They never realize the damage they do to their son, Their little baby boy who tried to kill himself last night, Because mommy and daddy don't love him anymore. These kids deserve better, They deserve to be loved every single night. Knowing their parents both of them care, And will never abandon them and will always be there. But this is almost never the case, These children suffer alone and no one even knows their face. |
