Seasons

I see the passing of the seasons
and yet I wonder why?
I question all the reasons
they're quickly flying by.

Nature paints her artist's canvas
of flowers, trees and sky.
The snowy veiled mountain pass
and grandest peaks so high.

As summer changes into fall
the frost is very near.
Another season comes to call,
one solstice to the rear.

Now I surely know the reasons
aren't hard to comprehend.
I am living out my seasons,
waiting for a winter's end.
