A poem about a broken love and a broken girl. |
Those brilliant blue eyes They used to smile But broken smiles, they don't lie You are shattered. Alone and upset, This wall you have quietly Placed in front of your face Thinking maybe they'll forget. Not so brave anymore. Chipped Is the carefully Painted black on your nails Not so precise now. Details Simply don't matter. Shut yourself off, Hide in a corner. Muffle your cough, You are nothing now But a foreigner. A stranger in your own home A thief of your own belongings A murderer of your own soul You are shaking. Three deep breaths, You will be Okay. On your unfamiliar furniture, You lie. Stare at the creases in the ceiling, Close your eyes. Change has got to come, You know. Something must be done, You've sunk so low. Your world spins And you fall into the Unknown Here it begins. Your dream, Where what you are Is nothing but a tale And the high pitched screams Fail. Here you can create whats farthest From reality, Your very own Mentality. Here you are Make-believe. Perfectly content. Those brilliant blue eyes They used to smile But broken smiles, they don't lie You are shattered. In places beyond your dreams, Beyond your wildest imaginations You are without repair. |
