Boredom Petrifaction

The reason for this writing
Is a fascination found -
With those who claim it ~boredom~
It's fast spreading around.

I have to laugh, 'coz is it not
We who decide our fate?
I have to laugh because our joy
Seems holed up in a crate.

Excitement; Glee; Where have they gone?
Oh why cannot we say:
"You know, I think I'll forego bored
And be happy today!"

To you who write - yes you, dear D,
Whose words addicts describe;
I dedicate MY words to you
So...laugh whilst you imbibe.

Think not on what you do not have
Think on: You're not alone!
And laugh out loud, you solid soul
Before you turn to stone!
