what results from depression and a really nice sense of humor
"So this is the last day on Earth for me..."
He said once more from the cold dusty floor of that lonely place.
Once more...
That always has a funny ring to it everytime it ventures from the tongue.
"I always heard you get a warm feeling just before you die."
"Well thats a load of shit because I don't think I could get any colder then

this..."

He lay there replaying everything back to himself that lead him to this exact

point in time.
Laying there alone, awestruck in the dark red pool of his own blood.
Life has a funny way of teaching you lessons you already knew, but just won't

except...

He woke up that morning expecting another dull grey day in the place he called

existence.
He got dressed at the sametime as usual, exactly 10 minutes after 6 o' clock.
He put on the exact same shoes he always wore.
The same old pair. For some reason he could never wear a new pair of shoes

longer then a day without putting the old ones back on.

Something about this morning though, seemed different to him. Maybe it was

how the Sun shone through his blinds a little bit differently, maybe it was how

the birds that always sat outside his window chirped just slightly off  on this

particular day.
Whatever it was something inside of him was pulling at him.
Something unsettling was stirring inside of him.
In that deep unknown grey matter of his it was waiting.
Waiting.
This was going to be the most beautiful day of his life.

He grabbed the same plain "100% natural" breakfast bar out of the recycled

cardboard container.
For some strange reason he liked the feeling of the plastic wrapper of the

"natural" breakfast bar in his hand.
Probably the hypocrisy of it all was funny to him.
None the less he rushed off to school.
As he approached the brick prison like building the automatic steel door gently

swings open greeting him with nice beep.

He walked down the same bland corridors he visits on a weekly basis.
He passes by all his peers, but to him they're only mindless blobs of clay

forcfully made into pawns.
They disgusted him wearing their "thats hot until next season" clothing, their

$200 shoes that look no different then something you could get at any retail

store, or their "vintage" designer bags.
Thinking they're individual from one another as if they don't realize its all the

same thing except with differnt colors here and there.
They just marched by as he traversed from learning session to learning session.
All the while thinking to himself "Yep I watched this on channel 45 a few nights

ago".

Once the bell rang allowing him to leave the session to go "enjoy" his one

allowed eating time.
He sat alone eating his freshly microwaved sandwich in the designated food

consuming area. For it was forbidden to enjoy his gracious meal outside of this

area's walls.
Because this is the cafeteria and this is where you eat.
He sat there pondering to himself as he chewed the already ground meat of the

sandwich, "I wonder how many animals help make this one? "
