The ironies of life... |
Can you imagine a sky That never shows a sun, Could you imagine playing Without ever having fun? How would the sea look If it were murky all the way down, Would you laugh seeing a clown If all he did was frown? How much would you pay for a house With no doors or walls, It'd be worthless like having a car That only always stalls. Have you ever comtemplated Whether you'd rather see or hear, Thta would be like choosing between Sad and always living in fear. Try riding a bike When one tire is ever flat, How hard would it be To hit a baseball without a bat? Would music still be beautiful If it didn't have a beat, What if all you could do was stand Because there was never a seat? The ironies of life May be amusing to the mind, Like attacking those who are unfriendly With only words that are kind. Of all the many things to consider One can not appear in thought, Walking through each day without you Would be like losing all I got. Let the sun set in the morning And let it snow in the month of May, Just as long as you are with me It will always be okay. I am so happy And can't imagine life without you, When I look up at a crystal blue sky The beauty I see is in you. |
