My Friend

I can't describe the way you make me feel
With your silly little ways
You flip and flop and smash and crash
With your continuous play

Sometimes you are too rough
And forget to be gentle
Why do I put up with you?
You drive me quite mental

I wait for you to greet me
When I get home at night
I try not to get angry
Even though you are in full flight

But then at night you settle
And curl up with me and snuggle
No matter what we do all day
The night ends with a cuddle
