Review of the movie Signs, starring Mel Gibson.
Review:
                                        Signs

Edging towards the more dramatic and suspenseful side of a world wide alien invasion, rather then the more common action/adventure side is what director M. Night Shyamalan wanted.  Starring Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix as Graham and Merrill Hess, two brothers who must stand together to protect themselves and Grahams two children.  The aliens ominous crop circles are created all over the world, and one is on Grahams corn crop.  As the aliens draw closer so do Grahams self revelations and his dealing with his wife’s death, and when he defeats his memories then he can defeat his foes because he can not loose another person he loves.
I liked the filming, the script and that it’s a movie that makes you think but at the same time has the ability to show not tell.  As movies title seems at the beginning of the film to be about the crop circles, it slowly turns into the signs of Grahams past that lead to  defeating the nightmarish aliens who hunt him and his family in his home.  And with the last words of his wife being the most important sign he has closure that his wife’s death was meant to be, in order to save him, his brother, his son and his daughter.  At the end of the movie Graham returns to his job as a reverend that he quit because he had lost faith.  But with the signs, his faith returns. 106 Mins. Released 2002.  Director, Writer: M Night Shyamalan. Acting: Mel Gibson, Joaquin Phoenix, Rory Culklin and Abigail Breslin.
