War On Terror? How is it possible to fight a war on terror? If terrorism were a country, then it would be rather easy to battle. But terrorism is a political or ideological goal. How do we battle this? Since September 11th we have all heard the word “terrorism” to a great extent, why now is it so prevalent? The corporate media outlets throughout America are constantly talking about terrorist threats and inducing fear into the public through their nightly broadcasts. It seems as though every second day there is a new threat or concern in America. Its all a matter of perception, who we perceive as terrorists may see us as being the true terrorists. Some would say that George W. Bush is a terrorist because of the countless Iraqi citizens that have died in his “ War on Terror”. This “War on Terror” has instilled constant terror into Iraqi citizens young and old. This absurd War that the American people were tricked into accepting has gone on to take thousands of American and Iraqi lives. Iraq under the leadership of Saddam Hussein was a terrible place, which needed to be fixed, but the reasons for entering the country were unjustified and fabricated. The troops who serve in Iraq (and all other conflict zones for that matter) deserve nothing but admiration and respect, but those who send these brave men and women to die in a foreign country for political gain are terrible people. The men who started this war are not politicians they are businessmen who use war for monetary gain and send innocent men and women to their deaths. Hopefully Americans open their eyes in the future and elect a president who is not a businessman, but a true politician. .::Cheers::. |
