My home, my life no longer mine
To all these glorious things I left behind
Missouri my home, how I miss your land
With mountains and tree's so proudly they stand
With river's of clear and sparkling glisten
with animals and sounds which my ears ache to listen
with the smell of hickory and summer nights
with campfires and sawdust and bright winter lights
and icicles in frozen forms twisting twirling away
yet there is one I miss each and every day
My blazing red sunshine with irises of brown
who can break this heart with the faintest frown
who can warm my soul with a dazzling grin
It's you my little love I miss most in the end
