This poem is dedicated to some one special to me and close to my heart just like her dad. |
I told you that i loved you but i knew i would not get a reply, I stare at your photograph and notice a twinkle in your eye. I can't hear you breathing; i can't hear your voice, All i see is a picture of you smiling and i knew it weren't your choice. If i could take the memories of you i would build them into something nice, You left us with only a lesson to make the most of our life, You gave each of the strength and the words of your own, You shown you had courage and that you was bold, And you left us each of us with the happiness that you wanted us to hold. You never cried in front of us and you never said you was sad, I don't think you was scared because you are now with your dad. I know you watch over us, guiding us with your gentle sound, I understand silence between us is silence at a bound. I wish i could hear your laughter, I wish i could see your smiling face, I wish i could come up to heaven and be in your arms again. We have to carry on knowing your not around, And when we come to visit you i hate think you are buried underground. Your headstone speaks your name so clearly, the flowers are brightly on show, And then we have to leave you even though your not alone. |
