Hamslekha- This name is very popular in kannada film industry. Premaloka was a big hit (80s) and hamslekha’s lift started there. He has given music to more than 300 films in kannada. Also written lyrics for other contemporary music directors. Recently ‘Nenapirali’ bagged 6 awards. It is a great work by Hamslekha.
So I became curious to know about his name. Why he is using his pen name as Hamslekha. So entered the google. Found that his original name is Gangraju and in school days he used to write poems. So he got this name etc.etc.
He has started institution called ‘Desi’. Lyrics writing, singing, music are tought here.
So it is a good step to spread our culture. Many people just talk about lack of music directors, male singers, remake bla bla. But Hamslekha is not of that sort. Be rocking Hamslekha Sir.
