Lyndon, a teen, suffering from depression, anxiety and other mental health problems.
Chapter 1

Lyndon walked into class. She knew what she was up against, but she wasn’t going to let it change her. Soon enough an average height woman walked into the room. Blonde. Short hair.  Looked as if she could wear a size 0. Dressed in casual clothing. Lyndon mentally prepared herself. The woman sat her bag on an unoccupied desk and immediately started to introduce herself.
“Hi, my name is Jennifer Moreli and I will be talking to you about eating disorders today,” Miss Moreli said, “but first, I’d like to get a perspective on what your opinions are on it.”
The class sat uncaptivated, many students slouched.
“Or am I going to have to call on someone?” She laughed in a forceful way. Lyndon got tense.
“Um, I don’t know your name but, you, in the red. Yes, in the third row” The woman said.
Lyndon hated guest speakers. Her only thought was that she somehow looked so well different from every other kid. So she stood out quite well in her plain red shirt.
“Uh, yes?” Lyndon said
“What do YOU think about eating disorders? Oh and what is your name, hun?” Miss Moreli said.
Lyndon gritted her teeth. She hated it when people called her “hun”. She felt her adrenaline rising.
“Well, um, bitch…” She mumbled.
“Oh, what?” Miss Moreli said
“Oh, I said, um…WHICH…disorder?” Lyndon covered that one nicely.
“Oh, just your thoughts on any of the eating disorders” Miss Moreli said smiling.
“Well, I think eating disorders are misunderstood…and I don’t understand why people like you are hired to stand and talk about this stuff. You’re never going to truly change the mind of the person with an eating disorder. Like me. I…” Lyndon stopped.
Everyone looked at one another. Quiet.
I just fucked up, she thought.
She got up out of her chair and walked out of the room, slouched down on the wall outside the classroom and started crying.
“Why do I always do this?” She curled up with her knees to her chest and put her head in her arms. Lyndon felt a rush inside her body. She started to sweat and started to wipe her brow when she started hyperventilating. She gripped the carpet beneath her and sat paralyzed. This wasn’t the first time this has happened.
