It is hard for me to write a sonnet.
When I sit down to begin writing one,
I almost always tend to regret it
For it won’t ever be completely done.
When writing a sonnet length is my foil
I never fully get out what I want to say
Forming sentences becomes a huge toil
And any errors start making me pay,
Forcing it to fall into disarray.
Blank verse, couplets, tercets, odes and the rest
They all come really quite naturally
And the end result doesn’t leave me depressed.
I’ll engage any of those cheerfully
But if you tell me to write a sonnet
I’ll grudgingly say, “I’ll get right on it.”
