“on that day” On that day, We didn’t know what was in store for us. It started out like any other September day. But then it turned into the worst day. We were confronted by our worst fear. Yet as people watched in shock at the sight that they saw. Sirens could be heard. All reporting to an unbelievable scene. Time seamed to slow down. Still no one had a clue to the disaster that was to come. With a bang what seamed tough, became tougher. The site was something like out of a horror movie, Something nobody could believe. Everybody was shocked, even the unshakable. With two thunderish booms, the horror only got worse. Two tall buildings were turned into mounds and mounds of rubble and debris. Thousands were dead. Many were firefighters, police officers and office workers. But more importantly they were fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, grandmothers and grandfathers. And they won’t be coming home. So on that day, A great disaster happen that claimed the lives of thousands. We were left to pick up the pieces and move on. Some people moved on the best they knew. A nation also moved on the best it could. A city moved on the best it could. Some moved on better then others, But for some there is no moving on. That is what that day has done. |
