A Good Bye

FOR DEAR SWEET MA


I'll dance at your wedding, she said
She reached for my hand,can't get out of bed

Her eyes have many stories,they are so old.
I have promised her these tales will be told

She'll be traveling soon
Softly singing another tune.

Her hands still warm, just a touch of cold
My dear sweet ma is ever so bold.

To her this is a grand favor
Her breathing no longer labored.

The old woman with time so wise
Leaving this world is of no surprise.

A smile plays upon her face
The moment is about to take place.

One last breath, she's finally at peace
and all the pain halts,comes to a cease.

I sit with her awhile
Watching her face still, but with a smile.

I know her spirit has arose
For in the distance I hear a door close....
