A deep long thought about my love, and our love to each other.
Do we take each other for granted, because were always near?
Has comfort sunk to a level that of fear?

The fear of love, the fear of loss
Could resentment  be the final cost?

Have I let your love, slip through my fingers?
         Hopefully Not, My desire lingers.

But your romance it surrounds me,
Has my love ever found thee?

Signs of caring in cards and trinkets,
I see these things and love I think it.

You are my best friend, and that I hope you know.
Time to tend to our embers, and let our fire grow.

I want us to become engulfed, in flames of passion,
         As there stoked.

I used to call you, my addiction.
When I think back on that statement, it’s quite the contradiction.

Because with many drugs you take, you gotta up the dose,
What I need to do, is to keep you close.

To show you that I love, and I’ve never stopped caring,
To shower you with kisses, but not be overbearing

Your still my choice, but without addiction.
I stand by love as my conviction.
