The mother eagle, perched nobly in her lofty nest,
Eyes the three earthly spotted eggs with her pristine gaze.
At home, atop the mountainous perch: a gnarled tree branch
Stretched precariously out over an endlessly tree-strewn valley.
Daddy, ever-so-vigilant in search of prey,
Soars high among the clouds,
Eyes focused on visible heat and unguarded movement.
The bald eagles, with their high and homely nest,
Majestic flight and hovering gaze,
Many miles closer to the spectacular sun
Than most lesser, earthbound creatures.
Mother Nature, so controlling of the winds,
The stars, and the moon, allows daytime
To be ruled by the noblest creatures of all.
