lyrics about realizing time's short and people are too fast.
Walking down the halls right past you with out a glance, though you smile at them, goes someone you once knew, someone who used to be so much closer.  What you wouldn't give to know their thoughts as they walk by; what you wouldn't say to share their day, if only you had the time. With each step is another moment past, two directions one path. We all grow up so different, and sometimes we'd like to remain blind to the fact.

It's a happy enough world, it's ok. With the coming sunset is another day. And we all keep moving on, steadily and contently, occasionally forgetting some small but important things. There's only one day to face at a time, the clock only goes forward. Will you keep living your life in rhymes—repetitive, expected? Or will you take the time to pause, smell the roses, and smile back in the hall.

These are but moments that slip away like water; they don't come back once they pass you, a memory now and forever. This fast-paced step of yours might lead you to miss a chance to kiss the sky again. It won't be the same as tomorrow; we all only have one life to live.

Hug your little brother, tell your family that you love them; take too many pictures, and don't be afraid to laugh too much. Write your legacy, make memories; don't be remembered as the rusher but the pauser, who took time to smile, even while the happy enough world wasn't always so ok.

These are but moments that slip away like water; they don't come back once they pass you, a memory now and forever. This fast-paced step of yours might lead you to miss a chance to kiss the sky again. It won't be the same as tomorrow; we all only have one life to live.
