When it's time to put down your best friend.

A special part of your love goes with them.

For her love was unconditional and very true.

Every day my love for her grew stronger too.



The day she became sick and wouldn't play.

Then I knew in my heart she was going away.

For in heaven she'll be young and run again.

I laid her under the bay window as my friend.



Forever Prissy will sleep in her knitted wrap.

You rest in peace forever in an eternal nap.

Sleep my little baby for your Daddy is near.           

You listen real close my voice you will hear.



I wish you were here walking near my side.

Or maybe I could take you for a long car ride.

So my little baby rest in your heavenly sleep.

I will joined you someday Prissy my sweet.



You were my little dog for 14 years or so.

It broke my heart when I had to let you go.

I cried when I saw your eyes for the last time.

I saw the love in your eyes that was mine.
