A creative story in a poetry form. A different way to narrate an ant's story of survival
The ant climbed up and up
Till it could climb up no more
As a slippery surface lay ahead of him
Making him the hearty meal of the spider below

The ant could see the spider below
Slowly crawling up the pole
With an evil looking grin on his face
Assuring the ant upon his fate

But to the spider's despair
The ant had challenged fate
As he set foot on the slippery surface
Making the top his aim

But the spider too was clever
As he spun web around his feet
Making them sticky enough
So as to cross the slippery surface
And get to his meat

The slippery surface now behind him
Slowly advancing towards the ant
While the ant just stood there
With his eyes closed and hands clapped

While the ant said,"What did I do to have this day fall upon me?”
The spider soon reached the top and raised his hand to kill
To make a hearty meal of the ant
And eat till his stomach was filled

But a strong wind blew aloft
That blew the spider off the pole
And plummet down upon the thorn
with a big hole in his soul

But a miracle as such had happened
As the ant was still safe
He stood there in awe
Thinking how he would relate this to his friend Dave

Slowly he climbed down the pole
Full of bonhomie and joy
Realizing from within in his mind and heart
That he was surely a lucky boy

For he knew that God helps those
Who are pure from the heart
And holy from the soul
