short story i wrote in class because i was bored, about the power of love.
Demolition Lovers

She tossed a glance into his eyes, wishing deep in her heart that with this single look, he could decypher the piece she was trying to paint, the image she was trying to portray.

However in return his eyes betrayed nothing as they wandered then tried to penetrate and push into her icy blues, hoping with a doubting, gambling faith somewhere inside his chest so strangely empty of regret, that she would once more trust him. So he flashed her pearly whites, a mask he so cleverly mastered, then envelopped her hand in his, transferred warmth into her and filled her up with all his promises, ones he knew he would never keep, in one single touch.

Yet the passion he injected seemed to assure her of his presence in the future in one last thrust managed to convince and conquer he pure heart: it thinned her stubborn wall of resistance and blunted the dagger she had so fervently shot at him only a fraction of a second ago. All the anger and the hatred she had felt for him was instantly replaced by another mysterious, incomprehensive emotion that forgave him for all his sins and lies.

This is the reason why you should never play with fire.

But it is also the reason why you do.
