My New Dog

I did tons and tons of research about the right dog for me. The dogs I looked up were Bull mastiffs, American Bulldogs, and Boxers.I made sure they were all good with kids. The computer said they were all good with kids and very friendly. The dog I picked to get was the Bullmastiff. I wanted a boy dog with bridle fur coloring and I wanted it to be the biggest puppy of the litter.

I asked my mom "Is it alright if I get a dog?" She said "yes Rob". We drove to an animal shelter in Cleveland where they reserved a puppy for me that was a boy with brindle hair and was the biggest puppy of the litter. When we got there I asked "could I see the puppy you reserved for me?" When we went to the playpen they were about to bring the puppy out. As soon as my mom saw him she said "he is so cute!" He was really big. I said,
"I'll take him." I named him Rocky because he was bulky like a rock.

I began to train him. He caught on very well. When he was 7 months he was 26 inches tall. His paws were bigger than baseballs. He was very protective of my family and of course of me too. He was very friendly with other dogs. I hope Rocky will be with us for a long time. That is my new dog.
