When a Hero Dies

When a Hero has to die

How high does their soul fly

Do they look on from heaven above

When it rains are they showering us with their love

Do the sit at the feet of Jesus and sing to him glorious songs

Do the fight spiritual battles with unending strength all the day long

Do they look down on us with dismay

Do they gather the angels and together pray

Do they remember the loved ones they left below

And look on with love and to our life send a heavenly glow

Can they hear our prayers like God can

Do they at our side stand

To loose them brings much sorrow

So don't say good-bye just say until tomorrow
