Take a look around
Its coming to a close

What is coming
Surely I don't know

Then a certain feeling
Envelopes my mind

So many questions
Arise and now matter

Ideas and pranks exit
Reality and uncertainty enter

The past is passing away
The future is coming

The present though looms
So high above me, wow

A habit long lived
Is soon to be broken

Responsibility is coming
Like shackles in freedom

A new life awaits
But the old one is dying

Together they clash
Like people and change

A day that would never come
Is just a footstep away

Feelings rush forward
In a blur its here

I'm watching this happen
But I still deny even now

I underestimated the impact
This event would have on me

I've procrastinated to long
And now I'm unprepared

My friends will be there
Until they too will disappear

Family may be there
To help along the way

It's up to me
To take up this yoke

I've come now to realize
I wasn't taught about this

I don't understand at all
That this happens to everyone

Even the smartest face it
Along with all my peers

Some try to avoid it
Others have already passed it by

What am I to do
In my own life now

This decision will come
At a time I know not

Hopefully its in time
Before things grow to late

I make my way down
The journey of life

This pit stop will slow me
On a trip to eternal life

Why can't someone help
I don't know what to think

Before I didn't decide
When did it come time to change

I don't see a light
At the end of the tunnel

Whats happening to me
Have I lost all my marbles

Oh wait I remember something
I have heard about this

And it is tiime to move on
To something bigger and better

I know not how to do it
So I'll take it one step at a time

I moved slowly at first
But now I'm taking the next step
