If I could take your pain away,
I would do it in a heartbeat
If I could walk your hot coals for you,
I would do it in my bare feet

If I could cry your tears for you
I would go ahead and shed a lifetimes worth
If I could tackle all your problems
I would make sure there would be nothing I couldn’t endure

If I could carry all your burdens
I promise I would do it the best I could
If I could guarantee you a smile each day
Don’t you think I would?

If I had to swim a thousand rivers
Just to see you smile
It may take me a lifetime
But in the end I know it was worth while

Even if I had to climb a thousand mountains
Or sail the ocean blue
Can’t you see I’d do these things?
I’d do them all for you

But I’m only human
I can only promise so much, you see?
However I’ll always do my best

There is always room for improvement
