If we looked through a child's eyes, would we be at war? People starving?
Children move with joy;
uninhibited, accept themselves.
They love being naked.
Little ones approach all with love,
presents are stones and wild flowers.
wanting only a smile in return.

Is there anything sweeter
than that new baby smell?
You want to bury yourself
in their little tummies.
They giggle, laugh, grab your hair.

Toddlers are a challenge.
Like a thirsty tree, they think
up a hundred questions.
Just when you have the answer,
they’ve moved past you.

Master little storytellers,
Television hasn’t hurt imagination yet.
I love to hear two children
duplicate our words with their toys.
Listen in, you might learn something.

Children don’t play
games with emotions.
When they are mad,
the whole world knows.
When they laugh,
it is holy bells ringing joy.

I believe children
could save this crazy world,
if only we would still to listen.
