THANKS, LORD

Seventy one years ago
On this earth I arrived.
Lord I thank you that so long
I happily survived.

Many did fall by the way
As I did trudge along,
My feet marching, hands toiling,
Lips singing but Your song.

You gave me bread and warm bed
And fulfilled all my need.
Please bless me and hold my hand
While to You I proceed.
