This was probably the second poem that I wrote in my life! |
a single drop of rain splattered on the rusted shattered land under an iron red sky spitting the wastes of heaven and blood seeping from the cracks in the ground each drop bearing a thousand memories of a world forsaken by the lord and his crown when he broke the land and sundered the seas a land once green and a place of bliss blessed by the authority for men to walk on now ruled by an eternal grey never night....yet never day the hallowed stones split wide apart reaching into the world of the dead opening the gate for the denizens of the night and the peace that had lain on the land fled they preyed on the sick, wounded land they flattened the earth with their scaly feet the air stank of their putrid breath they poisoned the water with their toxic spit and the people fled their ancient home the mothers clasping their children to their hearts while the angels of death flew down from the skies their cries piercing the flesh like poisoned darts and anarchy ruled the once land of the gods and the people raised their arms to the skies in despair while fire ravaged the face of the holy land they cried for the saviour who wasn't there......... ..........most doubted if he ever will |
