A Broken Loyal Heart

as She picked me up
and put me down
I could be help
to all who frown


all the little things
came together
to end this
my hellish nightmare


Her little smile
would make may day
despite the things
the others say


with Her hand in mine
we'd be alright
and when She hurt
Id hold her tight


for eight short months
I wore my band
around my wrist
to take my stand


that fire She kindled
never grew dim
but our chances
would still grow slim


it didnt take long
to share the flame
with all my friends
when their time came

find a footing

to choose to fight
