I remember the lifeless

I remember the lifeless.

seeping its way into every piece of my mind, body and soul;

creature in its formlessness

managed to devour me whole.



It survived so long

completely unnoticed to its host;

but even the moment of awareness

did not remove it from it's post.



Screaming in silence and disguised in truth

it lured me into an unholy realm;

a world of consuming iniquity

it being my master, my steering helm.



Paused and stoic I had become.

lost was

passion,

peace,

awareness;

left only was this life threatening numb.
