A poem of a pain that was lost and replaced with love.
Those words you said to me last night,
haunted my dreams,
haunted my heart,
Now there's a throbbing again,
much better than ever before,
and its for you,
all for you,
You told me everything i wanted to hear,
you told me you'd never leave,
but i tried to reject that,
you asked why was i rejecting it,
rejecting you,
so i told you the pain in my heart,
how every guy has just added another cut,
how my own father disowned me,
but you kept your arms wide open,
and said I love you,
It ripped my heart again,
My heart and my head,
wanted two very diffrent things,
My heart yearned for you,
my mind warned me to stay away,
I told you I was afraid of the pain,
you said you'd take it all away,
you said you love me,
with those three words,
my heart began to race again,
Thanks to you my parents still have a daughter,
my friends still have a friend,
you promised you would never let me go,
I said okay,
You have taken away my pain,
and replaced it with your love.
