A morning walk in the park soothes the sensations and refreshes the mind. |
MORNING WALK Going for a morning walk Amidst the verdant trees, Flowers seem to smile to me In the fresh morning breeze. Their speech is silent yet they Convey to me they are Nature’s little angels sent From the heavens afar. Their bright yet soothing colours All over do abound, As if many rainbows have Descended to the ground. It’s a pleasure to feel the Petals with drops of dew Shining in the morning rays To greet the flowers new. It’s a pleasure to savour Their scented fragrance fresh. The smell of the tender rose Does the spirits refresh. It’s a pleasure to hear the Call of the mating birds And that clicking of the buds Breaking into flowers. It’s a pleasure to taste the Dew drops like nectar pearls, As also the sweet berry, So pungent, the tongue twirls. The above sensations are No match to those of mind. Amidst nature close to God Myself I truly find. • Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format * It was initially posted as item 712398, which was deleted and replaced on 13 March 2005 by entry 334375 in MY POETRY BOOK, {item: 948400}.
