Small Love, Big Pain

I went to a bar
To relax today
Needing a drink
After a long hard day

I picked a seat
Among the rest
Ordered my drink
Feeling up to the test

Three drinks later
My emotions grew raw
I looked across the bar
And guess what I saw

A little old man
Dressed all in green
With red pointed shoes
All shinning and preen

He wore a striped hat
That resembled a candy cane
He was only three feet tall
I must be insane

He waddled to the bar
And demanded "Top shelf"
A pint of perpermint schnapps
He downed by himself

I couldn't believe
My eyes would decieve
So I slammed one more
And tried the idea to percieve

This elf like man
Was making the claim
He worked for Santa
And had trouble with his dame

He climbed on the bar
And stomped 'round a bit
Cursing our Santa
In an evil fit

In a jealouse outrage
The elf did state
That his one true love
Santa did take!
