The Firefighter

We go into the fire, brave and true.
We know the risks, we do it for you.
We rush to your side whenever you call.
When you are sick, or dying, or just had a fall.
Adrenaline pumps as we race to the scene,
Lights and sirens we work as a team.

We go into the flames and hide our fear,
With packs and hoses and very heavy gear.
To save you and yours is our only goal,
We fight the fire with all our heart and soul.
When you’ve lost a loved one, you won’t see our sorrow,
But we will carry it with us until there is no tomorrow

With endless training, we are put to through the test.
We strive to be good , be our very best
We see it all, the good and the bad.
We feel it all the joy and the sad.
We are volunteer fire fighters, brave and true.
We know the risks. and we do it for you.
