BEAUTY'S ABODE

Beauty therein its glorious essence dwells

Etched in thy features' glow and cloudless smile,

Thy gaze's searing fire thus compels

And hapless, my virgin eye does beguile.

Beauty rides the river of your soul's voice

Honeys thy tongue with words oh so sweet,

Passion or wrath both a cause to rejoice

For love's lyrics surely is no deceit.

Beauty anoints the life as graceful dew,

Soars across thy journey's heavenly wings

Thus sings endless praise to thy hand's virtue

That does heed a stranger heart's yearnings.

Such beauty that doth poverty enrich

And filthy night to starry light bewitch.
