My True Faith

Beautiful as stains of sun
painted upon
the crystal sky.
Or as the song of nature in the spring,
when all birds sing,
and rivers sigh.

And lovely as a tear from the stars,
soothing the scars
of pain that’s never healed.
Or as dew-drops on the grass –
your Holy Mass
with my soul sealed.
