i'll flap my wings and learn to fly
hoping my heart will reach the sky
and when im tempted with questions of why
i wont give up but struggle on high

when these mountains make me cry
i promise to wipe my tears dry
and give this challenge another try.

i'll drag my feet an learn to walk
preying success like a mighty hawk
and when i'm tempted with my toughest rock
i'll carry this burden till i break its yoke.

when worldly pleasure my heart tries to mock
as the gates of peace close and lock
i'll carry on with my humble knock
and not give in to doubts sly talk.

i'll open my ears and learn to hear
the wortds that bring prosperity near
and though my path may not seem clear
i'll listen and follow without any fear.

i'll light my candle and learn to fight
the darkness that squeeses light out of sight
and when the winds of defeat blow with might
i'll carry this candle all through the night.
