A Poem for the Loved

I told you I would write you something
To try to help you through

But words, I say, are hard to find
For the one I love so true


Take up your sword and carry on
Swing hard on the pendulum of time

Travel far and wide
But know inside

That I am at your arm

Speak clearly, my love, every though
And its there that you will find

A caring little maiden
Reaching for your heart.

I wish that I could comfort you
I wish that I could stay…

So close in mind and memory
So close, and never far away

I am always here, you see
And its where I’ll always be

Ready to take you in my arms
And hold you close to me

Forgive me if I hurt you
Forgive me if I fail

Forgive me if I care for you
But I am also frail

I wish I could be perfect
I wish that I could be

Many things for you and me
Many things indeed

But alas! I try my hardest
To keep you at my side

And hope that soon one day
Not so far. Far away.

You will see more the good, in me
And not my faults I have.

And one day you will smile down,
And take My hand instead.



And tell me that you see in me
What good I try to give

Instead of all the things I do
To hurt you, so hard, so bad

I’m sorry if I cry in you
I’m sorry If I care

But I have feelings as well to share
Someday Ill take you there

But for now I write a little note
To tell you I’m still here

Always, in heart and mind you see
And sometimes in the air.
