written for a contest, based on current troubles in my life
Mistakes! Oh how one suffers from the mistakes.
A moment of weakness that lingers on the tongue.
The sweet taste of sin that you thought was what you wanted.
Oh how we suffer.

I am now in a place of contentment,
brought here by my savior.
The one who saved me when I was in need.
If it were not for the moment of weakness,
Where would I be now?

Let me continue to make my mistakes,
Tempered with knowledge.
For I learn as I go.
Let me never quit learning.
