A boy dies, and a girl grieves. Doesn't rhyme.
You lie here dying
And I stand here crying
You put your hand on my face
And say things will be fine
I say I can't live without you
You say I have to try
My heart slowly breaks
As I watch you slip away from me
Your breath is faint
And your heartbeat slow
Your hands are getting colder
And your colour is pale
I say please don't leave me
You don't deserve to die
You say you never will
And will always be watching over me
I bury my head into your chest
And think of our time together
I remember when we met
When we played together
When we laughed together
When we embraced each other
And when we kissed each other
But it's gone now
I look into your eyes now and see pain
You look into mine and see sorrow
I press my lips against yours one last time
And I say I love you
You say you love me too
And then you close your eyes
