Healing through embracing a natural wonder

Forgiveness

Leaning against
the trunk of an Ancient,
feeling his forgiving heart.

Throwing a pebble into
the nearby babbling brook,
hearing her giggle with delight.

Listening to a
gentle breeze
whispering;

“How could
the hearts of men reduce
the value of the Ancients…

thus to be printed
upon the remains of
their wrinkled skin?”

Laying upon the ground
looking up through branches…
weeping.
