Unplanned journey
Compass please point me north
Point to where I go from here on forth
All these years of living
All these gifts the world keeps giving
Carry me to tomorrow
Let me ride the moment and go its way
Fly the lengthy flow
Learn about everything I don’t know
Plant the seeds of a tree
Just to watch as they grow
Stay for a few years until the tree starts to finally show
Then again it’s back to the road
And the compass that leads me places I don’t know
The lessons learned from the places I go
An unplanned journey
The path is laid in brick before me
A sun turns the sky from night to day
To light the path so I won’t go astray
But light doesn’t always stay
The night comes creeping along
To trick my sights and lead me wrong
Fortunately nights are shorter than days
In the morning there may be haze
Yet the journey is unplanned
It just waits for you to take command
