Sunset by an artist

Shadows and light , so be the world
Thus created an artist
For man sees light as no darkness , and darkness as no light
so they philosopise , solemn and wise , that man enjoys the ups as he knows the falls
and cheery they get at the downs , seeing an ebb afar
but now I fear what if , there be no artist nor a light at the end
what if another dawn is just a figment to get through the night
what if the coarseness of life is as it is , with no beauty or design
no ebbs from a fall
what if the sun has set and shall never rise
the artist is long gone , abandoning his design
for he sees no road to lead all our selfishness to salvation
