~Stolen Emotion

What have you done to me?
A smothering indistinctness of betrayal,
as memories creep along forgotten flames.
Once we savored bliss,
hand in hand and wide-eyed,
but your thirst perished.
A deadened cloud of agony -
Tears follow pain, follow rain,
love burnt to ashes.
In a haze of sorrow,
I still love you.

Just a small poem, I thought while driving.
