More Than Being

Sitting on His pedestal

Falling asleep; watch Him drool

So much better than all of us

Why should He care what we do?

Staring down from up above

Surrounded by all heaven's love

Jewels and gold at every glance

How could we even compare?

Angels do a joyous dance

All the saved alongside prance

Glory, praise, and purity

What good is there in us?

But this God I know inside of me

Cares more deeply than the deepest of seas

He holds us tight and won't let go

Who could understand why?

The fact that He's so much more

Goodness radiating from His core

Proves that He's more than being

But why should He choose us?

I don't know why He does what He does
