SYNOPSIS FOR MY POETRY CONTEST This is a synopsis for my poetry contest, titled “"POETRY IN RHYME - RHYTHM CONTEST-winner" ”. I have 600 poems in my port, but this one stands out for the maximum time and effort spent on an item. The contest has completed 30 monthly rounds and has been highly rewarded. It has already won the first prize in another contest. What is more important, it has been highly rated by many and laudatory reviews have been sent by many senior authors on the wdc. They have also been very kind to send GPs, on their own, as donations to the contest to keep it going. What is more important is NOT that it has been praised, BUT that it has demonstrated its usefulness. The proof of that is the ghazal contest that I organize as an annual anniversary event. A ghazal has to be written as per definite style. It is not very easy and is certainly not a common style in English poetry. Over last 30 months, I have fornd that the number and quality of ghazal writers who entered their ghazals in the contest has shown definite and remarkable increase. I deem that as a measure of the success of this contest. • Written for The Really Quick Contest. R6 OPEN, "Invalid Item" hosted by realsteve. M C Gupta 6 April 2008 |
